Specialist facilities

As a senior secondary only college all our facilities and programs are tailor made for young adult learning.

Teaching and Learning

We are committed to high standards and innovative methods of teaching so that students are challenged to achieve their potential. Students are encouraged to work cooperatively in an environment where the need for equity, mutual respect, tolerance and justice is recognised.

Our Teaching Team leads and supports the professional learning and review required for teachers to provide programs that are stimulating and engaging. Our varied learning opportunities enable students to develop rich knowledge along with appropriate skills, competencies and values. Guilford Young College is also a Registered Training Organisation (1129), offering a range of nationally-recognised Vocational Education and Training programs.

Faith and Life

Our faith community sees itself as part of the wider church and its mission. We embrace the Catholic tradition and the story of our founding orders. Each person is given the opportunity to develop a relationship with God and to explore their spiritual pathway.

Prayer, reflection and sacrament are integral parts of the life of our College. All students are encouraged to find the grace of God in the every day: to be strong, adult and generous in being present to others and responding actively to the pursuit of social justice.

Specialist Senior Secondary

Because we're senior secondary only, we're the specialists. All our facilities and courses are specifically designed with Years 11 and 12 students and their outcomes in mind.

With two campuses and over 800 students this also means we can also offer a comprehensive range of courses to cater for academic and training pathways.

Sport at GYC

We encourage all our students to pursue an active and healthy lifestyle. Students and athletes benefit from a comprehensive range of sporting options as part of our DoSomething!@GYC program. Our facilities are equipped with the latest technology and equipment. This means students are not only able improve their physical wellbeing, but have the opportunity to prepare for high performance and future professional sporting careers.
