Policies
The role of policy is to translate the College’s values, goals and commitment to continuous improvement and compliance, to enhance our governance arrangements. Policies are developed and reviewed regularly by the College’s Executive team.
College Policies
The College exists under a Policy structure overseen by Catholic Education Tasmania. There are three tiers of policies at GYC.
Tier 1 – developed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Hobart
Tier 2 – developed by Catholic Education Tasmania
Tier 3 – developed at individual College level
Child Safety Statement
We are committed to implementing best practice strategies around child safety and constantly evaluating our processes to ensure safe learning environments amongst a child-safety conscious community.
We believe that children and young people have a fundamental right to be respected, nurtured, cared for, and that every child and young person is entitled to be educated in a safe environment. You can find out more about this via the Catholic Education Tasmania website.
