Course Handbook

Courses to suit your chosen pathway

As the only Catholic specialist Year 11 and 12 College we are able to offer a wide range of courses with pathways to suit you.

2025 Handbook

Our Handbook lists all our current courses, with brief descriptions of each, requirements and possible pathways to University and TAFE, as well as careers and work. Whatever your intended pathway, we will help you get there.

Subject selections will be made in Term 3 and a final list of subjects for the following year finalised in Term 4.

Please note that our Course Handbook provides the most accurate and up to date information regarding courses and pathways available. Every attempt is made to provide the courses a student selects. At times, however, courses may not be available if there is an insufficient student interest. In the event that a course is unavailable, we will provide advice on appropriate course choices and alternate pathways

As a Registered Training Institution, we are able to offer a wide variety of fully accredited Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs, and School-based Apprenticeships. You can view current programs in our course Handbook or find out more about studying VET at GYC.

Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE)

A student will be awarded the Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) by TASC if they meet certain requirements. Visit the TASC website or download our course Handbook to learn more.
